“Things I’ve Lost and Found and Lost Again” , a new 4 track demo album, out September 24, 2021.

Since I moved to Berlin, I felt very creatively stuck, despite the city’s reputation for its creative freedom. There was physical constraint caused by Pandemic as well as sonic constraint, caused by the living environment (room share, thin walls, etc). I had not written almost any songs for two years.

Then I read about @jbrekkie ‘s June project, in which she wrote and recorded a song every day for a month. It inspired me to do the same. I asked a friend to use his space for 3 weeks. There I found a perfect space to fully stretch my wings. I could finally be creative.

I brought my shitty microphone and the tiniest midi keyboard, connecting them to a cheap audio interface and Ableton Live. To be in the moment, I limited myself to only use 4 tracks. Result is 18 songs of (often unlistenable) raw materials.

These songs illustrate the post pandemic state of mind, fading memories, homesickness and fear of phone notifications. The hot and cold slices of mixed feelings toward lust, shame and hay fever.

I hope you all like them.
